Why Organic

Consumer recognition of the benefits of organic products has grown dramatically. A resent study shows that a record 39% of consumers reported usage of organic products over the past year.

Why organic?

• Since a new born infants' main source of nutrition for approximately the first four to six months is breast milk and/or infant formula, it is extremely important in the case of infant formula that no potential toxic chemicals or heavy metals are ingested. If ingested these can begin to accumulate in the various organ systems and tissues, and in turn could compromise immune system development.

• Pound for pound babies consume two to four times more fruits and vegetables than adults and are exposed to a higher proportion of potential contaminants.

• Organic ingredients are grown in soil not treated with harmful synthetic herbicides, pesticides, chemical fertilizers or sewage sludge.

• No genetically engineered ingredients are used - the process of inserting genes of one plant into a strain of another to produce a more abundant or pest resistant crop.
